Blackbutt

Blackbutt

Blackbutt is a very dense Australian hardwood. Because of its durable and strong nature, this hardwood is commonly used for flooring, cladding, poles and more.

Blackbutt heartwood ranges from golden yellow to pale brown, sometimes with a slight pink tinge. The sapwood is much paler in colour, and can sometimes have small gum veins visible.

Blackbutt timber is predominantly grown on the north coast of New South Wales and the southern coast of Queensland.
