Taupaki House

The Taupaki House sits quietly in the hills, designed to take in the wide-open rural views and built to Certified Passive House standards. For Rusa Construction, it was a milestone project – their first home to achieve Passive House certification, showing what’s possible when performance and comfort come together.

JSC supplied Thermally Modified Timber (TMT) Taxon factory-coated in JSC Scumble Golden Sands and profiled in a Rusticated (RustiClad) Profile. The warm golden brown tones settle naturally into the landscape, with the clean lines of the profile giving the home a calm, ordered rhythm.

Inside, sunlight pours through the large windows, while outside, the home’s design and materials work in harmony with its surroundings – a true connection to the landscape. It’s a home built with care, in a place where the setting does most of the talking.
