Jack's Point Queenstown Home
Jack's Point, Queenstown Home
Brick and Cedar trade places at the entry of this Jack's Point build by Brownie Construction, the timber stepping forward where the brick steps back, the Remarkables rising directly behind the roofline.
TMT Taiga fences the boundary, with a curved run that wraps the corner of the section rather than squaring it off. It is a small move, but it changes how the property presents itself from the street, softening what would otherwise be a hard line between the home and its surroundings. The same instinct shows up at the entry, where the Vertical Shiplap cladding in Western Red Cedar brings a multi-tonal colour variation and marks the threshold against the brick.
Inside, Cedar interior panelling carries the same timber from the entry through to the main living area. Oak flooring runs underfoot, paired with timber-veneer cabinetry in the kitchen and a waterfall-edge stone island. Floor-to-ceiling glazing along the rear elevation opens onto the section, framing the mountains beyond.
