A rugged, windswept and beautiful beach on Auckland's west coast, Muriwai has long been loved by locals, visitors, surfers, and artists alike. The beach's surf lifesaving club is an essential part of the community. This new building creates a twist on the New Zealand vernacular bach with the end result producing a community shelter for Muriwai and the Muriwai Surf.
