Orchardist Way
About the Project:
Set in the rural surrounds of Ngahinapouri, this beautifully crafted home brings warmth and texture to its landscape through a thoughtful mix of natural materials.
We supplied the Western Red Cedar Vertical Shiplap Cladding, finished in Dryden Elm, a rich, warm tone that adds real depth and character to the exterior. Contrast against the dark-coated board-and-batten cladding, black detailing, and a softly textured stone chimney, the result is a home that feels both refined and relaxed.
Built by the talented team at Coventry Construction, the home balances contrast and cohesion. The entry is framed by a black front door, continuing the strong contrast against the lighter timber. Step inside, and that sense of calm continues - white walls, timber highlights, black fittings, and a striking gabled ceiling come together to create a warm, open space that still feels grounded.
From the outside in, this home shows how the right product choices can complement both design and setting, bringing it all together naturally.
