Built by Kyle Hartley, this Rolleston home combines simple forms and a balanced material selection to create a contemporary family residence. White plaster finishes are paired with timber cladding and dark roofing, creating a clean and cohesive exterior with modern street appeal.

TMT Amba was selected for the home's exterior cladding, helping to define the gable forms and entry while introducing warmth to the façade. The vertical shiplap cladding in a TMT55 profile is finished in Coda Caliaby, introducing a softer natural tone that balances the crisp white plaster and darker architectural detailing. The coating allows the natural tonal variation of TMT Amba to remain visible, adding character to the cladding while maintaining a clean and consistent appearance across the home.

Rather than being used as a feature accent, the timber plays an important role in shaping the home's exterior character. Combined with the white plaster walls and dark roofing, it softens the overall palette and creates a complementary connection to the interior of the home.
