Steele Park Upgrade - Hamilton
Steele Park, Hamilton East’s premier and one of the city’s oldest parks, has undergone a significant upgrade. Led by Downey Construction and Hamilton City Council, the project includes modernising the park's facilities, which have reached the end of their life. The upgrade will feature new, fully accessible toilets, parent rooms, and spaces for local community sports clubs, all set among the park’s historic oak trees.
JSC contributed to this project by supplying Vitex ex 100x50 (90x42mm) decking, coated with JSC Coda Clear Decking Oil, and Vitex 140x20mm Drydek, both of which enhance the functionality and aesthetic of the space. The project will also include improved pedestrian access and lighting for increased safety.
With a rich history and a strong community presence, Steele Park continues to be a hub for sports, leisure, and local events.
